Estonian territorial waters extend 12 nautical miles from ther coast.
Peaceful passage of foreign pleasure craft in the territorial sea is
permitted. Once cleared in, it is not necessary to clear out until leaving
territorial waters. Yachtsmen are recommended to ask the harbour office to
advise the next port of their arrival.
There are no restricted areas or ranges on the Estonian coast.

Citizens of United States of America, Commonwealth of Australia, Principality
of Andorra, United Kingdom (Great Britain and Northern Ireland) and Hong-
Kong, Republic of Bulgaria, Japan, Republic of Lithuania, Principality of
Liechtenstein, Republic of Latvia, Principality of Monaco, Republic of Poland,
Republic of San Marino, Slovak Republic, Kingdom of Denmark, Czech
Republic, Republic of Hungary, New Zealand, Vatican City State, Republic of
Korea (15 days), Singapour (14 days) Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland,
Slovania, Malta, Cypr and Switzerland need only a passport, a visa is generally
required for citizens arriving from the other countries. (dated 02. 03. 98).
All travellers need health insurance
The captain of the boat should have the International Certificate of competence.

Both cardinal and lateral beacons and buoys are used as floating aids in
accordance with the A-system of IALA
Russian charts of the Estonian coast ( 30 charts 1:100 000, 1:25 000, 1:5000
with the English equivalents) have been printed 1992, corrected every two

A boat abroad should wear the national ensign of its country of registration. A
courtesy ensigning of the country being visited should be flown from the
starboard yardarm.
